With degrees from Harvard Law School and the London School of Economics (LSE), U.S. Federal Judge Kimba Wood would seem an unlikely candidate to have a Playboy past. But in the mid-1960s, a then cash-strapped Wood trained five days to be a bunny at a London Playboy Club while studying at LSE. As brief as it was, her stint at the club became a point of discussion after President Bill Clinton nominated Wood as his Attorney General in 1993. But it was her employment of an illegal immigrant that ultimately derailed her nomination for the Justice Department post.

The London Playboy Club is to reopen its doors after 30 years. By Emanuelle Degli Esposti Sitting reading the paper in the breathless air of the London Tube system on Friday morning, I was confronted with a row of ten smiling, nubile young women dressed in all-revealing in red and black corsets and sporting bunny ears. The world famous Playboy Club, which departed London’s Mayfair 30 years ago, is set to return with Iron Chef and Market Kitchen regular Judy Joo appointed as executive head chef. The entertainment and gaming venue, managed by London Clubs International and Playboy Enterprises, will host a restaurant, cocktail bar, members lounge and private gaming rooms.
